Artigiana is our work, born through the labor of hands, mind, and heart. As Walter Gropius observed, art is not a profession, and there is no substantial difference between the artist and the craftsman. What unites them is the awareness of how essential mastery of the craft is for a work to come into being.
It is no coincidence that the term “work”, derived from the Latin ŏpĕra meaning “work, activity,” is used regardless of whether the resulting object is more or less artistic.
